Every grant application at UH goes through an eight-step process:

Faculty member has an idea
Research funding opportunities
Approval from OCG to proceed with proposals
Proposal prepared by PI and approval signatures obtained: PI, Chair/Director, Dean, VP Research
Submit proposal to OCG for review
Submit proposal to agency
Agency review
Award issued to UH
