Visiting Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics

The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a one-year position beginning August 2008 in Spanish Linguistics. Area of specialization open. Candidates should have a Ph.D., and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Principal responsibilities include teaching linguistic courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Visiting Assistant Professor of Latin American Literature and Culture

The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston is seeking a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern Latin American Literature beginning August 2008. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovative approaches to Latin American literary and cultural studies, as well as a strong theoretical background. Ph.D. and native or near-native fluency in Spanish. Principal responsibilities include teaching literature courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
